Here is a preview of the Bingo Christmas block.  These instructions will be included with a baggie of pre-cut fabric and will be given out at the March guild meeting.  The completed block will be due at the May meeting.
BMQG Bingo Christmas Block – Red Center Version
Contents:
White Fabric
·        2 strips 2½” x 10½”
·        8 squares 2½” x 2½”
Dark Green Fabric
·        1 strip 2½” x 10½”
Red Stripe Fabric
·        1 strip 2½” x 10½”
Red Reindeer Fabric
·        1 square 4½” x 4½”
Green Mistletoe Fabric
·        4 squares 4½” x 4½”
How-To:
1.      With right sides together, sew a 2½” x 10½” white strip to a 2½” x 10½” red stripe strip along the long sides.  Press toward the dark side.  Crosscut into 4 rectangles 2½” wide.

2.      Repeat Step 1 with the white and dark green strips.

3.      Pair a red/white rectangle with a green/white rectangle to make a four-patch.  Make 4.

4.      Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of each 2½” x 2½” white square.  With right sides together, place a white square in the corner of a 4½” x 4½” green mistletoe square and sew along the drawn line.  Trim the excess fabric ¼” from the stitch line and press open.  Repeat in an adjacent corner.  Make 4.

5.      With right sides together, sew the units into 3 rows as shown.  Press.  Sew the rows together.  Press.

Steep learning curve.

You might notice that the one on the left is a little smaller than the other.  Oops.
